About St Peter's Centre

St Peter's Centre is a vibrant community building across the road from St Peter's Church.

There is level access from the car park to the main reception and cloakroom areas, off which is the bright and airy Sandringham Hall with a stage at one end. An excellent catering kitchen allow the Sandringham Hall to be used by the charities Age Concern and Sevak Semaj for lunch clubs during the week. It is an excellent venue for hire for parties and other social occasions. Sports and fitness clubs hire it during the day time and evening. It is also used by the Scouting movement on a regular basis.

A small flight of steps leads from the Sandringham Hall to an inner lobby, off which is the parish office suite, a disabled toilet and the Manor Room. This is an attractive smaller, carpeted function room which can also be accessed from a ramp leading off the car park on the left hand side. Kitchen facilities can also be accessed from this room, making it an ideal venue for hire for smaller groups and parties. It is often used for church meetings, parish lunches and children's activities.

A ramp from the right hand corner of the car park allows disabled access to a downstairs suite of rooms which is used every weekday throughout the year as a local base for adults with physical and learning disabilities. This base is run by Leicestershire County Council Social Services in partnership with St Peter's Church. At evenings and weekends, the same suite of rooms is used by the Guiding movement, Church Youth Groups and the church Sunday Club as well as sometimes being available for hire to other organisations.

To enquire about the availability of any of the rooms in St Peter's Centre, please call the parish office on weekday mornings between 10:00 - 12:00 when someone will be available to help you. At other times, please leave a message on the answerphone or email the parish office.
